WinITPro article on AD cmdlets

Windows IT Pro Magazine has just published my article with an overview of Active Directory user account management with PowerShell and QAD cmdlets.

It’s a quick run through the most frequent scenarios such as:

  • Locating a user account
  • Retrieving account properties
  • Reporting
  • Modifying account
  • Creating new accounts
  • Setting up test environments.

Check it out here.

Hey, I found your blog wanting to comment and say “Congrats” on this. Our copy came in yesterday to my supervisor – I said “Hey, look, it is Dmitry Sotnikov, the powershell guy!” (Who I previously introduced as having helped us save many, many hours managing accounts already!)
