Send IM from PowerShell

You probably know that PowerShell can send email, but what if you want to receive and instant message with your script results?

Turns out that there is an Australian startup – Blue Quality Studios – who have created a nice PowerShell cmdlet to do just that.

So now you can have something like this:

The cmdlet works with both Office Communications Server (OCS) 2007 R2 and Lync Server 2010. This is a commercial product but they have a free trial. Learn more and download the trial here.
